Important note: The open listening function is available on all our telephones. However, the so-called "hearing aid compatibility" or induction is only available if your hearing aid has an induction coil, also called a telecoil or T-coil. Previously, the connection was established automatically; later, hearing aid manufacturers switched to requiring you to press a button on your hearing aid once or twice before you can hear a conversation. This can be too cumbersome for some older people. But what's really bad is that hearing aid manufacturers are now starting to make their devices so small that induction coils no longer fit. This means that the older or larger your hearing aid, the better. CI wearers are not affected; they always have this coil built in.
